Blackberry cellular phones have been prestigious for their easy to use Qwerty keyboard. Within the business world, BlackBerry cell phones been wowed as a success in being the helpful friend for doctors, lawyers and professionals in all fields. Even iPhone fanatics and users of the Google cell phones, who have had experience with Blackberry cellular phones admit that as for features including text messaging, Blackberries are the most awesome. In the sphere of smart phones, they are of course not lagging behind either. For those of us human, such the intelligent species with opposable thumbs that we are, the anthentic Qwerty keyboard of Blackberry cell phones satisfied us with high standards for real-time tactile sensation, Bleckberry cell phones were inevitably the standard of smart phones.

Then Blackberry planned to launch the Blackberry Storm and shocked everybody. Gone was the nice tactile Qwerty keyboard which everyone found helpful and easy-to-use. The only feature in which this cell phone is similar to other Blackberry cell phones is the BlackBerry OS as well as RIM’s excellent email and messaging services. Unlike other BlackBerry cellular phones, the QWERTY or SureType keypad and light-up trackball for navigation are gone. How does the newly emergent virtual QWERTY compare to the real standard QWERTY keyboard? One review stated that the touch screen keypad was difficult to use due to the fact that people who use it have to release the key before typing another. The consequence is slow or lagging typing.

Storm is a wide 3.25-inch, touch screen gadget that also has a lot of the similar functions as the iPhone, but as well provides a clickable display. Unlike the iPhone and Instinct , the Storm make full use of a totally extraordinary “click” technique referred to as SurePress which actually enables you to click the screen down, and makes you feel you’re using a computer mouse.

Whereas the seconding generation iPhone has a 2 Megapixel camera similar to the first generation iPhones, the BlackBerry Storm updates their smart phone cam to 3.2 Megapixel, along with autofocus and a 2x digital zoom feature. In addition the Storm supposedly, similar to the 1st generation, has fast 7.2Mbps HSDPA website capabilities—putting it ahead of the iPhone. The BlackBerry Storm also has a useful bedside mode that is useful in deleting those drunken 2:00am phone calls from friends at pub. In the mean time, the Storm can still be adopted as an alarm clock.

One more benefit is that the Storm provides higher screen resolution than both the iPhone and T-Mobile’s GI Android cell phone. At 480 x 360 pixels, the BlackBerry Storm trumps both the iPhone and T-Mobile’s GI Android phone. On the back of the phone, the battery cover is constructed from solid piece of brushed aluminium, behind which is a removable cell phone battery. The screen is very crisp and clear and selections radiate a cool bluish light when selected. The screen of the Storm is very bright, though it does not outshine the squint-worthy brightness of the iPhone completely.

While the Storm provides enough bang for your buck in some senses there are some disbenefits to
the mobile phone. The 3rd-party applications for the BlackBerry Storm is lagging far behind the iPhone. Generally there is not a lot of third-party applications for BlackBerry cell phones, not to mention Storm-based software.Plus, as the BlackBerry Storm is quite different from all the previous keypad and trackball BlackBerries, 3rd-party applications for the Storm in reality non-existent. However, the RIM software that comes store-bought with the Storm is pretty good.

Mac users are out of luck when it comes to syncing their Storms with their laptops. Where RIM provides a free application referred to as PocketMac that managed to sync older BlackBerries, there is not yet a program that makes it possible for Mac users to handle so with the Storm. Perhaps, if Mac users wait for a short time, RIM will release a PocketMac that best matches the BlackBerry Storm cell phone.

In conclusion, which there is some terrific hardware and software that the BlackBerry Storm features, a lot seems to be a marketing ploy which will convince potentional users that the BlackBerry Storm is ample rival to the iPhone. Unfortunately, aside features like a more advanced cam and better resolution, the overall UE of the BlackBerry Storm pales in contrast

If Samsung thinks that creating a clone of their amazing Android smart phone with all the same specs but with 7GB less of internal memory would go unnoticed, they are almost right. The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite has a trite 1GB of internal memory as compared to the original 8GB of internal storage.

While this difference is easily remedied by getting a high capacity microSD card (the device can support up to 16GB cards so far), the difference is still much too large to not notice. The discussion is if Samsung could have cut down on other features? Looking at the current outcome, probably not; the Galaxy Lite is a really great Android smart phone in its own right.

The Galaxy Lite

Lite is not a fitting name for this mobile phone, if Samsung released this model as their first Android smart phone, it still would have been a great mobile phone. The Galaxy Lite is a quad-band smart phone that supports both 2G and 3G networks. It can connect to wireless LAN, HSDPA, 3G, GPRS and EDGE; this means you can go online almost anywhere.

The device is also GPS-capable with its A-GPS hardware, a perfect companion for the Android’s Google Maps. As expected of a smart phone, the Galaxy Lite also has media playback capabilities allowing users to play back video and music files, stream videos via the internet (it is also YouTube compatible) and of course, use the device as an MP3 player; the Lite also features the 3.5mm audio jack present in the original Galaxy. The device also sports a 1500mAh lithium ion battery that can power it up for days on standby.

Android Power

The Google Android operating system is truly the heart of the Galaxy Lite, thanks to this, the Lite comes packed with a lot of useful applications that are designed specifically for use with the Android. Google applications such as Google Search mobile, Google Maps mobile, Google Talk, Gmail Mobile, YouTube, and Picasa mobile are integrated into the system. Aside from that, navigating and using the Android interface is a very enjoyable experience. Thanks to the onboard Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor, everything runs fast and smooth without any slowdowns.

The Memory Loss

The reason why you can call the change of internal memory a loss is because 7GB is a hefty change. As stated, the original Galaxy had 8GB of internal memory; that is more than enough space for large media such as full length videos. There are also plenty of mobile phone users who use their devices as digital storage. All in all, having a lot of internal memory is an advantage that is hard to do without once it is made available.

Having 1GB does not incapacitate the user; the advantage with 8GB is simply the freedom to carry more storage by default. Everyone still has the option to use a microSD card to expand this capacity. Still, in all possible cases, if you can get the i7500 over the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite, do so.

If the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite sounds appealing to you, then you should check out Moby1 who are one of the UK’s foremost mobile phone price comparison website who also provide detailed mobile phone reviews.
