Heres the question: Should I Get the Ciphone 3G Or the  HTC T5353 Diamond2 smart cell phone?

Ciphone 3G:

While both incredibly awesome smart phone, are great to have all at once. It is more likely we would only carry one by our side at all times.

Both the ciphone 3G WIFI and the HTC T5353 have great things about each other. But when it comes down to it, its more of a personal preference when choosing our phones we use.

So, to answer the big question on which smart phone should you get, should be based on key points between both iPhone, and the HTC T5353.

Key points to consider are, the Network the phone is established on, and the user experience on each phone.

HTC t5353:

The number one thing that should be considered is the service. The ciphone 3G wifi is married with AT&T, and the HTC T5353 is engaged with Verizon.

Verizon hands down has the best network service, with a greater 3G coverage than AT&T, and not to mention all those data hungry iPhones on AT&T sucking their GSM/HSPA towers dry daily. But, with AT&T’s GSM/HSPA network is standard in mort parts of the world. Meaning, you can bring your iPhone when you travel and still be able to pick it up and make a call outside of the US.

Second thing to consider is the user experience. Okay, let me tell you, there is really no learning curve when you first pick up an iPhone. You grab the iPhone, you wake it up, and now you in the most simplistic, and incredibly intuitive design. Easily being considered the quickest learnable smart phone known to man. While the Motorola Droid was built upon meeting a set of features all crammed into one, rather huge interface scattered about. Not to bash theHTC T5353 and all. It does in fact pack a punch with its ability to multitask far better than an iPhone.

Well, like I said, its all about personal preference. I have been a Mac fan for a while, but I’m not fond of the AT&T service.

You have to consider all key points of both iPhone, and HTC T5353 before reaching your decision.

There’s a continuing battle going on between the various smartphone operating systems on the market, but which one’s best? Let’s take a look at the three front runners.

Sony Ericsson Satio

It’s fair to say that the Sony Ericsson Satio is easily one of the most hotly anticipated phones of the year. On the face of it, the big reason for the excitement is its 12 megapixel camera, and whilst that is a force to be reckoned with, there’s so much more to the Sony Ericsson Satio. It’s the first ‘Entertainment Unlimited’ phone, and that doesn’t just mean it combines Cyber-Shot and Walkman technology. On top of that, the Sony Ericsson Satio is also going to pull in social networking, high quality games and incredible video services to become a one-stop mobile entertainment hub. It promises far more than that, however, as the Sony Ericsson Satio is also powered by Symbian, giving it true smartphone capabilities, which will no doubt include its very own app store.

Motorola DEXT

The first important fact about the Motorola DEXT, and the bit that has made it so talked about, is its interface: Google Android, with MOTOBLUR riding on top. As it’s the first Android phone to focus on social networking as its key feature, the Motorola DEXT has garnered an awful lot of trade and consumer interest. It’s certainly more of a looker (especially in the interface, the newly designed MOTOBLUR UI) than previous Android phones, and that fusion of enhanced looks and the still-awesome power of Android makes the Motorola DEXT a very compelling phone indeed. If social networking is your thing, this is the phone for you.

HTC HD2

The Sony Ericsson Satio is easily the best camera phone on this list, and the Motorola DEXT has the edge in terms of interface, but why is the third phone, the HTC HD2, so much better? The answer lies within the processor hidden inside the HTC HD2, as it’s the first phone in the world to come with a 1GHz chip. Or, in other words, it’s little short of a laptop in the body of a mobile phone. So, the HTC HD2 promises to be faster and smoother than any other mobile phone on the market. Ally that with the unique 3D interface running on top of Windows Mobile, and you get a phone that truly is a joy to use. There’s also one other fact that can’t be denied…

Quite apart from it being hyper-fast, with an incredibly fluid interface, the HTC HD2 also has the biggest screen on the market, coming in at an unbelievable 4.3 inches. That’s a lot of real estate on screen, and it means that even previously fiddly menu bars are now finger-friendly, given the massive screen size. And as for the virtual keyboard on the HTC HD2, the extra size makes it little different from typing on a physical keyboard. Add in the rage of impressive features, including a 5 megapixel camera, broadband-fast internet access, a superb music player and GPS, and it adds up to a simple fact: The HTC HD2 is quite simply the best Windows Mobile phone, and maybe even the best PHONE, ever made, and it utterly canes the other two on this list.

For a smartphone with an operating system that’s open and free, it’s been surprising to see a slew of Android phones that rival the high ends handset that use their more proprietary OS platforms like Symbian.  Especially when we see them sporting features that, while decent, are quite common with many other high end phones costing less.

Predictable Features

Among those features, you get 16 GB microSD support, high speed internet with 3G HSPDA, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, stereo FM with RDS and GPS support.  That’s what many Android phones have.  And the new HTC Tattoo is no exception.

It also features a typical 3.1 mega pixel autofocus camera and a decent multimedia feature starting with a gorgeous 2.8” LCD TFT resistive touchscreen display, presumably with the usual accelerometer for automatic viewing orientation changes.  HTC phones are not known to have great multimedia features as they are really meant to target the more serious corporate and business markets.  But, just as a perfunctory nod to mobile phone trends, it makes business sense to put in all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect from mobile phones.

The HTC Tattoo from the Taiwan-based mobile phone novice runs on a powerful Qualcomm CPU clocked at 528 MHz with a 256 MB Ram and 512 MB ROM, engine features that are just as powerful as any Android phone out there. People often wonder if the Android phone requires so much power to run effectively, and thus, bring up its price rather unnecessarily while sporting the familiar touch-screen form.

Outstanding Value

But what makes the HTC Tattoo stand out is its affordability in the rumored €350 price point, that is, if you consider that affordable.  This newest handset officially released by HTC is said to be the cheapest Android phone expected to hit the market during the last quarter of the year starting this October.  If you are familiar with the high end HTC Touch 3G, then you have an idea how the Tattoo looks like, but using the Android OS instead of Windows Mobile.

This is HTC’s fourth Android handset and this time, it looks like the target market for affordable handsets should provide a wider market base for its line of Android phones.  Does the Android have a mass appeal?  That remains to be seen as they typically get snapped up by high end markets with their upscale price.  Whether they can upgrade (or downgrade) from their Symbian, Windows and Linux handsets remains to be seen.  The Android OS is actually a great mobile platform with so much promise and there are no royalties in its use by phone makers.

I’m looking to invest under 500$ in an e-reader. I have little personal experience with any and am asking advice from you because I have a number of options on the table.
1. Kindle – Amazon’s flagship product that has rave reviews. I like the design, but it is a bit spendy at 389$. The newer kindle coming out is better but runs 489$.
2. Ipod Touch/iPhone with kindle app. Same deal, but I’ve been looking to get a phone or ipod. The downside to a iPhone is the extra 30$ a month (I already have att). The screen also appears to be smaller.
3. Pre-ordering the following netbook (https://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/). This netbook is the same size as the bigger kindle, has a touch screen, the main display is detachable and has all the functionality of a computer. It also is cheaper than the bigger kindle at 400$ with no S&H. Also it can run android, which I have wanted to mess around with for a while, and has the music functionality that iphones/touches have.
At this time I am leaning toward number 3 but again, I want to see what you think.

i have been saving up and now have the money to buy 1 either on contract or PAYG
i live in the UK if that matters and have been looking at the reviews for it and pros/cons here’s what i have so far
( by the way the phone i have now is the samsung f480 (tocco)) and texting is just a bother on it, + i want a phone with some more modern technology ie the QWERTY keyboard.

easy to use / navigate

reasonably good for music
the great home screen ( widgets )
the price + the apps you can download.
The cons =
scratches quite easiyl without a case or the leather protective thing
screen resolution ( lets just say it sucks at taking photos, when you take them they are all pixilated and you have to transfer them to the computer which isnt very good )
can’t add widgets to the home screen
not very many apps lets be honest

So, I have a little knowledge of mindstorm from messing around with droid developer. I think it’s time to step it up though. SO, my question. Should I opt for buying the cheaper first Mindstorm Robotic set off of Ebay, or go ahead and spend the money on the NXT? Pro’s and cons about the old and new? I know wikipedia tells you about it, I’ve read all of that..I wanna hear a straight review from somebody
